The Portland Rose Festival has inspired the public to gather and celebrate against a backdrop of historic external forces for 116 years, demonstrating how our community can carry on traditions, honor diversity and celebrate unity. In 2023, we are grateful to absolutely everyone who came out to FOCUS ON FUN! Everyone’s participation in the Rose Festival's big events like the Grand Floral Parade, Starlight Parade, Junior Parade, Queen’s Coronation, CityFair and Fleet Week, was astounding. Now and always, we welcome Portlanders and visitors alike to celebrate our floral heritage and community spirit.May 24 - June 9, 2024

CareOregon Starlight Parade

A Twinkling, Summer Night Downtown The CareOregon Starlight Parade is the one of the Rose Festival's most popular events offering electrified funky fun for everyone. From traditional marching bands and flood-lit floats, to glow-in-the-dark umbrellas and unique hand-built entries, you’ll see representation from Portland’s diverse community groups (and the surrounding Pacific Northwest region), creating a vibe like no other on Portland's downtown streets. The parade will go right past Southpark Seafod. Why not stop in for dinner before the parade?
